Aftermath Islands - participating in a virtual form of real estate

Aftermath Islands is a blockchain-based virtual reality interactive platform, consisting of theme-based islands, communities, and estates. Islands are divided into unique Virtual Land (VL) parcels, with landowners having autonomy over content published on their land. Users can buy, develop, and trade Virtual Land (VL), property, and items as NFTs. Players will be able to engage with virtual environments, work, play, learn, and game in new and innovative ways, both online and offline. Aftermath Islands uses traditional game technologies, virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality to create new forms of engagement.

Aftermath Islands is issuing NFTs on the WAX blockchain. These assets, and the blockchain-based components of Aftermath Islands will ultimately assume a multi-chain approach, expanding across multiple networks, users, and organizations.

The Aftermath Islands Explorers League invites only the strongest of spirit and those who crave adventure to join the band of travelers as they set sail for new destinations and the unknown in Aftermath Islands. Membership is exclusive and is only for the heartiest of souls. Memberships are not transferable, and users have only 1 Membership per person. Aftermath Islands offers players a fun and exciting opportunity to acquire their very own Virtual Land (VL).  

Each type of Aftermath Island has its own properties, rules, and adventures. In Themed Islands there are immersive events, quests, and gameplay designed around individual themes such as dragonlore, medieval fighting, and alien warfare. In Community Islands players can participate in group activities, guilds, clubs, or go about solo adventures. In Estate Islands users can own a large part of a small island limited to a few dozen players.  

David Lucatch and Dinko Dinkov are the co-founders of Aftermath Islands. They have raised a total of $25M in funding.
