Pindrop Security - Real-Time Defense Against Deepfakes

Pindrop Security, established in 2011 and headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is at the forefront of voice authentication and fraud detection technology. The company focuses on providing secure voice interactions by leveraging advanced AI technologies. Pindrop's solutions are trusted by major financial institutions, insurers, and retailers globally to prevent fraud and enhance customer security.

Pindrop has pioneered several innovations in the field of voice security, most notably the Pindrop® Pulse, launched in 2024. This technology addresses the growing threat of audio deepfakes, which have become increasingly sophisticated due to advancements in generative AI. Pindrop Pulse employs liveness detection, a cutting-edge technique that distinguishes real human voices from synthetic ones by analyzing unique speech patterns and anomalies that machines struggle to replicate consistently.

The Pulse technology has demonstrated a 99% detection rate for known deepfake engines and over 90% for new or unseen deepfake generation engines, with a minimal false positive rate of less than 1%. This capability is critical in protecting contact centers from fraudulent activities such as voice impersonation, automated account reconnaissance, and social engineering attacks.

As AI-driven threats continue to evolve, Pindrop remains dedicated to advancing its technologies to stay ahead of fraudsters. The company's ongoing research and development efforts, supported by a robust portfolio of patents, ensure that its solutions remain at the cutting edge of voice security. Pindrop's vision is to build a secure digital landscape where trust in voice communications is restored and maintained.

Pindrop was founded by Dr. Vijay Balasubramaniyan, Dr. Paul Judge, and Dr. Mustaque Ahamad. To date, they have a $925 million evaluation.
