Kurtosis - making systems development easy
Kurtosis is a unique platform that plays a great role for Web3 app developers. The software engineers get access to a powerful development and testing environment, which enables them to create decentralized apps (dapps). The developers can also manipulate the environment in which the apps function. Kurtosis allows the coders to generate applications and modify the parameters during the execution process, while offering them the ability to eliminate any of the challenges that may arise when the decentralized apps are debugged.
The primary aim for Kurtosis currently is to build varied test nets for specific organizations, either private or public, which can be used for a multitude of purposes. Of major importance is finding a way to alleviate risks in long-term engineering stacks, ensuring that Web3 hacks are less common in the face of more properly produced early-stage systems. A whopping $2 billion was already lost in 2022 due to Web3 hacks, which was more than all of 2021 combined, proof alone by the fact that Web3 software requires more security parameters and dedicated development tools.
One big project using Kurtosis for its development and testing is the Ethereum core team, which is using the platform to prepare for “The Merge.” This upcoming event is one of the biggest network upgrades in the crypto industry. Kurtosis is also used by Ava Labs for the Avalanche blockchain and NEAR for dapp development and testing.
Kurtosis was founded by Galen Marchetti and Kevin Today. Kurtosis has raised a total of $22.5M in funding.
