Harrison.ai is a global healthcare technology company founded in 2018 by brothers Dr. Aengus Tran and Dimitry Tran in Sydney, Australia. The company specializes in developing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance medical diagnostics, particularly in radiology and pathology. Their mission is to address the global shortage of skilled clinicians by providing AI-powered tools that improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.

Harrison.ai has developed two primary AI solutions.

Annalise.ai

Annalise.ai is an advanced AI-powered radiology tool designed to assist doctors in interpreting medical images, such as chest X-rays and head CT scans (a type of brain scan).

How It Works:

  • AI has been trained on millions of medical images to recognize different patterns and abnormalities.
  • When a chest X-ray or head CT scan is taken, Annalise.ai analyzes it and identifies potential medical conditions.
  • It can detect up to 124 different findings in chest X-rays and 130 findings in head CT scans.

Examples:

  • Chest X-rays - Lung infections (like pneumonia), fractures, tumors, heart enlargement, fluid buildup, etc.
  • Head CT scans - Brain bleeding, strokes, fractures, tumors, and other abnormalities.

AI does not replace doctors but acts as a second opinion, helping radiologists identify critical conditions faster and with more accuracy.

Franklin.ai

Franklin.ai is an AI system designed to help pathologists, who are doctors that diagnose diseases by examining tissue samples under a microscope. It was developed with Sonic Healthcare, one of the largest medical diagnostic companies.

How It Works:

  • A patient undergoes a biopsy (a small piece of tissue is removed and sent to a lab).
  • AI analyzes the tissue sample images, looking for signs of cancer, infections, and other diseases.
  • It highlights areas that look abnormal, helping the pathologist focus on potential problems.
  • The pathologist then confirms the diagnosis, using both their expertise and the AI's findings.

By integrating advanced AI into medical diagnostics, Harrison.ai aims to enhance clinician capacity, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate early disease detection, ultimately raising the standard of healthcare for millions of patients worldwide.
