DROPP - first ever NFT minting platform enabled by geo-minting tech

DROPP, an NFT-based project, is developing geolocation technology that will bring the metaverse into the real world. The platform adds a new dimension to the virtual world, allowing users to interact with simulated 3D objects/environments in the real world. DROPP is the first social metaverse and NFT platform to change the intangibility of the virtual universe by mapping the real world to the metaverse.

Dropp currently runs on the network Solana, but plans to extend its functionality to work across multiple chains.

DROPP provides users with an interactive platform where they can enjoy geo, Earth and Augmented Reality (AR) based minting, powered by usable non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Participants in the emerging social metaverse can purchase pieces of real estate dubbed 'DROPP LAND', which are virtual parcels that mimic the real world. Each piece of virtual property overlays the real-world location and grants the owner utility in the metaverse.

DROPP 2D module is a geolocation tool for NFT encryption and real-time location. It is designed to support the DROPP APP on mobile devices. The NFTs are created by creating an image, movie, sound using the capabilities of a mobile device or adding files stored in the memory of a mobile device. After adding the image to the map, the app automatically creates an NFT based on the Solana blockchain thanks to the integrated wallet. The user can set the price at which he wants to sell the NFT and other users can buy this NFT using their wallet. All functionality takes place in the app as it is integrated with the Solana blockchain.

The 3D AR module allows users to create 3D models that can be displayed both in the virtual 3D space available in the web app and can be displayed in real space as AR objects. The object creation process will take place in two ways: by importing self-made 3D objects into the DROPP application or by purchasing ready-made models in the DROPP application. When objects are added, they will be automatically converted to NFTs so they can have their own value in the DROPP application. The ability to see 3D objects virtually and in the real world gives us gamification possibilities not yet available. The combination of the real and virtual world will result in a new form of gamification.

Edmond Truong is the founder of DROPP. DROPP has raised $8M in funding.
