Checking on user commodification is making sure third parties don’t get a hand on user data without their explicit permission. This is ensured through the use of private and public keys. Decentralized platforms also make sure that user content is moderated to a less extent, which means users can express themselves more freely.

A lot of decentralized platforms reward their users for just posting on their platform, so there is a big opportunity for crowdfunding. There are some differences between the three, but for the most part they all offer a censorship-free, decentralized, and secure social media experience.

As social media keeps growing, it is increasingly important to make sure user data and user expression is protected because centralization becomes a problem when a few can have influence online over billions of people.
