Faster and better recruiting

Finding suitable candidates can be a pain for hiring managers. They have to often sort through dozens of applications and resumes. When they find candidates they like, they have to chase down the candidates’ old bosses for referrals. Or more often than not, they have to trust that the candidate is being truthful about the skills on their resume (they are probably not).

The traditional approach to hiring is very time-consuming and can cause problems if the hiring is done incorrectly. Blockchain helps streamline and speed up the process by focusing on verifiability.

Applicants can put validated credentials such as academic history, employment records, background checks, and certifications/licenses directly onto Blockchain. Not only can recruiters trust all the information on their Blockchain, but they can also request access to view the records in real-time. Referrals and background checks used to take multiple days and even weeks, but now they can be done in an instant.

Smart contracts are automated actions that perform after certain criteria are met on a Blockchain. They can be very helpful in speeding up the hiring process. For example, when a new employee is hired, there is a big process to get the person on-boarded (login credentials, payroll, etc.) and the person usually has to go back and forth between departments to verify certain information. But smart contracts will allow companies to completely skip this process because they can automatically add the person and their relevant info to the company’s systems.

The icing on top of a Blockchain recruiting process is that everything is secure and decentralized, so both the applicant and recruiter can rest easy that none of their information is being tampered with.
