Adim - Revolutionizing Content Creation with Web3 Writers' Rooms
Famed filmmaker and actor Rob McElhenney is embarking on a new venture to utilize Web3 technology for content co-creation and profit-sharing in the form of potential royalties. McElhenney has officially launched his entertainment-tech company, Adim, which aims to establish Web3-based decentralized writers' rooms. Through this platform, the actor intends to collaborate with budding NFT artists, assisting them in the creation of intellectual property (IP) stories and characters while also providing an opportunity to share in future revenues through royalty agreements.
Adim's initial step involves setting up a Web3 writers' room, which is envisioned to be the foundation of the "Adimverse," a comprehensive collection of original IPs from participating creators. Approximately 100 content creators will be handpicked from eligible applicants to join a virtual writers' room, where they will collaborate alongside McElhenney and TV writer Keyonna Taylor. At the conclusion of each session, every participant will receive a "Core Character" NFT, symbolizing their ownership stake in the co-created IP generated in the collaborative environment.
These NFTs, although non-transferable, will grant their owners eligibility for future royalties or revenue shares from any projects that utilize the co-created IP. While the specific blockchain network on which these NFTs will be based is yet to be disclosed, Adim has mentioned Ethereum gas fees and cited Ethereum Wallets such as Rainbow and MetaMask. This move showcases McElhenney's commitment to exploring innovative ways to support and empower emerging content creators within the Web3 ecosystem.
Adimverse has raised a total of $10M in funding.
